Continued fossil jet fuel use, neutralized with permanent carbon removal, is likely to be a more cost and resource-efficient alternative for aviation than electrofuels.
But (there is always a but ;-) ) in 2050 there will be areas where the price of solar (plus battery) will drop to $ 0,02 / kWh. So that DAC + CCS = SAF = Conventional fuels.
